About Me
History
Engineer turned Entrepreneur turned Nonprofit Leader
I believe that my work should be in the service of others. That is what has led on the journey from Engineer to Nonprofit leader. Although my careers experiences are varied and may not seem related, they have all prepared me for where I am today. My engineering background taught me critical thinking and helps me use data to make business decisions, create goals and hold myself and other accountable. My entrepreneurial experience gave me relationship building, sales, marketing and leadership skills. These experiences led me into the nonprofit sector, almost by accident. However, once I was there, I knew I was home.
I’m driven by my love for my family. While I love my career and would not give it up for anything, it’s important to me for my kids to see me balancing, even when it isn’t easy. I’m so lucky to have a supportive husband and extended family, they allow me to stretch, grow and pursue my dreams.
